The Scindapsus treubii ‘Dark Form’ is the shadow to the Moonlight’s glow - its elongated leaves are a deep, near-black green, almost devoid of variegation, with a subtle satin sheen that reveals itself only in the right light. Architectural, moody, and deeply rare, this is a plant that earns its place in a serious collection.

✦ Care Guide

• Light: Bright indirect light reveals the subtle satin sheen on the dark foliage. Tolerates lower light better than most aroids, but growth will slow significantly. Avoid direct sun.
• Water: Water when the top 2–3cm of soil is dry. Slow-growing and drought-tolerant - less is more with this one.
• Humidity: Appreciates 50–65% humidity. More tolerant of average household conditions than many aroids.
• Temperature: 18–27°C. Protect from cold draughts and temperatures below 15°C.
• Soil: Well-draining aroid mix - perlite, orchid bark, and coco coir. Excellent drainage is essential.
• Feeding: Balanced liquid fertiliser at half strength every 2–4 weeks during spring and summer. Rest in winter.
• Repotting: Every 1–2 years. Prefers to be slightly rootbound - don’t rush to upsize.
