The Anthurium luxurians is one of the latter. Its deeply bullate, almost quilted leaves carry a texture so pronounced it looks sculpted - dark, glossy, and impossibly architectural. This is a plant for those who understand that true luxury is found in nature’s details.

✦ Care Guide

• Light: Bright indirect light. Keep away from direct sun - the glossy leaves will scorch. A north or east-facing window is ideal.
• Water: Allow the top 2–3cm of soil to dry between waterings. Overwatering is the most common mistake - always check before you water.
• Humidity: High humidity is essential. Aim for 65–80%. A humidifier is strongly recommended.
• Temperature: 18–27°C. Avoid cold draughts and sudden temperature drops.
• Soil: A chunky, free-draining aroid mix - orchid bark, perlite, and coco coir. Compacted soil is the enemy.
• Feeding: Balanced liquid fertiliser at half strength every 2–4 weeks during spring and summer. Ease off in winter.
• Repotting: Only when rootbound. Go up one pot size at a time - this plant prefers to be slightly snug.
